song title / lyrics

tire tread pie

when i look up in the sky
i smell the smoke of burning (what?)
one field, one gulch, one afternoon lunch
a picnic basket.
mother's in the hamper with dad's old sox
the sitter's gone home to roost.
my brothers and i are tired of lox
but the rubber might stain our toothe!
what's that in the oven?
what's that in the sky?
an afternoon belly of tire tread pie

concept album - cont'd

new song title: "stopped clocks (are sometimes right)"

that one could go well with... "i dare not wind my watch today"

which in turn could fit in with the concept album about Argmaggedon -- where they meet and fall in love right before the world ends...the dude wants to freeze time forever, before they die. That song can be, like, the first song on the album, but from the context of the man's utter boredom with life -- he's putting on his suit, tying his tie, looking in the mirror, and then puts on his watch, in the blearly cold of the morning:

I dare not wind my watch today
Instead I pray it stays its hand
Rather than go through another dreary day
Where the seconds pass like quicksand

However, after he meets the girl (at lunch?, randomly?), and falls in love with her, the song is reprised, as the sky turns red and cracks open with
doom:

i dare not wind my watch today,
instead i pray it stays its hand,
grinding time into suspense,
and hence, we'll never part again.

i think that one could go well with...

concept album / song title

concept album idea, inspired by song title-

"sugar bear's dialysis nurse reccomends another toe amputation"

i'm pretty sure you could have a concept album about all of the kid's cereal mascot icons, a where-are-they-now story for each one, highlightinng
the real-life consequences of the lifesyles they lead. of course, diabetes, obesity, tooth decay, etc., would be common themes... but it could also include things like tony the tiger getting caught up in gang violence, the trix rabbit going to federal prison for impersonating a federal agent, and the cookie crisp dog being "destroyed" for biting a mailman one too many times.
