subsoil karren

explore subsoil karren,
her grooves formed underground,
and the corrosion her conscience
when no one is around

her eccentricity's ascribed to sleep-
less nights in her thin bed,
the light shines in a keyhole
dipping seaward, to her beach head

explore subsoil karren
as she bathes in hated springs,
with her flutes still calling softly,
when the daylight blowhole sings

cave blisters seek rock shelter
from such aggressive waters
only blades in blind valleys
greet our marble daughter

explore subsoil karren
and stare at scaling plates,
in the subsequent erosion
of her once vast estates

flowing aprons covering
her sloping stone projections;
she pitts with wind and sand,
those undeveloped sections.

explore subsoil karren,
on hemispheric hills
shaking in her shawl,
and choking on clay fill.

crawling to the crystal pool
with dog-tooth decorations,
collapsing in the sink,
of her calcifications

explore subsoil karren
and the canyons in her mind
current markings, at the threshold-
traces so sublime

and chance, translucent curtains
that drift up to the avens
bare naked on the balconies
of sophisticated ravens

she wastes away on saw-topped ridges
collared but transcendent-
the harness falls, but what remains?
a pillar or a pendant?

she wastes away on saw-topped ridges
collared but transcendent-
the harness falls, but what remains?
a pillar or a pendant?

every drug you have ever taken, at one point, was force fed to a rat until it died a horrible death, so that the researchers could say: it takes XX mg of the drug to kill 50% of the rats we gave it to. that helps them figure out how much of it to give to you. it's called the "LD50", the Lethal Dose for 50% of animals tested.

concept album

well, i'm thinking a 7 song EP about roy g biv. one song for each color of the rainbow, with the tone of each song correspondoing to the color of the song.

the story: it would have to be reverse engineered from the final song "parole from rainbow prison", which i think of as emergence from imposed, artificial happiness. the first question is, how did he get into rainbow prison? did he check himself in, or was he committed?! rainbow prison is a maddening labyrinth of happiness, a nightmarish fun house of smiles and frivolous distractions... a self-imposed journey, like an odyssey or Hercules' labors story about a self-imposed punishment for some horrible crime (that may or may not have occurred, or possible was just a psychological hallucination, dreamed up atrocities by a self destructive man looking for a reason to punish&exile himself).

red- brooding, warm, irritated, itchy
"Forced Apology"
"sweat shop kiss"
"Prism Reform"

orange- heats up, sparks fly
"Daddy Was a Miner"
"potted lemon tree theory"
"a simpleton's reprise"

yellow- blinding light, speed
"sinner's palms"
"house of mathemticians"
"tulip autopsy"

green- saturation is reached, monotone intensity,
becomes silence
"Noose of Scallions"
"the correlation between revolving door hesitation and the will to live"

blue- from the stagnancy, deep tones emerge, and swell
like waves, it is an awakening
"Kissing the Square"
"gravedigger's applause"
"a waitress sighs in paradise"

indigo- staggering, now awake - winding your way out
of a strange place, with flashbacks/overtones of
orange/yellow
"aftertaste"
"rescinded prayer"
"cash-back confessions"

violet- "parole from rainbow prison"
