pastiche?

Drunken Pinata performed their 20 minute noise pastiche entitled: "The Okra and the Oriole: A Suite"

I. Intro-the sounds of the deep sea...ambient and slow

II. Sludge Jam - the "Sounds of camp" - kids playing baseball and sawing shit in shop class, lots of hammering noises; Aaron and I will be playing the blues here.

III. Call 'n Respone-the sounds of pumas growling and chimps howling - aaron and I will be trading hot licks between the screams.

IV. Intermission - the sound of thunder and nightmarish winds...Aaron and I will be quiet and brooding - lots of analog delay - and then build it to a shredding cataclysmic orgasm.

V. Black Tie White Atlas Shrugged-The old Minor Dwarf Source gem, placed with the sound of the sea in the background-rippling water, nets being cast.

VI. Sludge Jam (reprise)-Identical blues jam, this time played on top of sinister carousel music; Aaron will also lay down a keyboard beat.

i was drunk as shit, with my eyes closed, but occasionally looked out. all 12 people were laughing the whole time. during the final segment, when the circus music came on. Aaron was playing guitar. The taped music played some kooky circus melody line, and then aaron tried to mimic it -- like a call and response -- but it was so fucking bad that, while in the middle of drinking my 7th beer, I started laughing, so hard, so violently, that that acidic-puke like taste/fluid in my mouth came hurdling out of my nose. My back was to the audience for 3 minutes, as I was wiping this weird shit
off my shirt, and from my nose, crying in uncontrollable laughter.
